Managerial change at Eccleshall

Eccleshall have announced manager, Paul Snape has stepped down from his role in charge of the first team at the club.
Club Secretary, Jim Tunney, said: "Paul spoke to chairman Bob Lloyd and myself on Monday evening to inform us of his decision. He explained that he was moving to a new job which would mean increased demands on his time and this, in turn, would have an impact on the commitment required to fulfil his role as Eccleshall manager.
"With this in mind, he felt that it was best if he stood aside in the best interests of the club. We are grateful to Paul for the time he has been with us, both in working with Jamie Cullerton last season and in stepping up as manager when Jamie left to join Leek Town. We wish him well for the future".
A meeting took place last night (Wednesday) at the club to discuss the situation and it was decided that Dave Dale, already part of the management team at Eccleshall, would step up as manager, with Nick Farrington and Richard Farrington continuing in their roles in the set up.
Jim continued: "Dave has great experience in non-league football both at this level and higher and has accepted the challenge of taking the club on.
"He knows the club, having managed here previously a number of years ago, and with himself, Nick and Richard, already being part of the match day team, it should, hopefully, be a seamless transition as they are familiar with the playing squad.
"Dave will take charge immediately, starting with Saturday's home match against Sandbach United".
