Game delayed due to imminent new arrival

Barnton central defender Adam Bayley had an afternoon to remember, on his return to his old club Winsford United on Saturday.
The defender had to be substituted in the 37th minute, after a message came through to the stadium that his wife had gone into labour.
Winsford United Secretary Bob Astles takes up the story:
"It was an incident that I’m sure has never happened at The Barton Stadium, and perhaps it was a first in Non-League football.
"With Winsford about to take a corner, a commotion near the Press Office alerted us to a distressed lady, who informed us that Adam Bayley had to leave the pitch immediately as his wife had gone into labour.
"We managed to get a message to the referee via the linesman and after some misunderstanding, Adam sprinted off the pitch at a pace that was rarely seen, if ever, in his days as a former player of the Blues".
We have no further news at this point, but we will keep the story updated when we hear further updates.
